Description
GOST 32491 Geosynthetics. Tensile Test with Wide Strip
GOST 32491 establishes a tensile test method using a wide belt to determine the mechanical properties of geosynthetic materials.
The test method applies to geosynthetic materials, including woven and non-woven geotextiles, geocomposites, thread-geotextiles and needle-punched fabrics.
The test method also applies to geogrids and similar geotextile materials with an open structure, but sample sizes can be adjusted.
*** The test method does not apply to polymer or bitumen geosynthetic barriers, but applies to geosynthetic clay barriers (bentonite mats)
