Vacuum Pyknometer ( Yale )

STANDARDS : ASTM D2041; TS EN 12697-5

Vacuum Pyknometer (Yale Pyknometer) is used to determine the theoretical maximum specific gravity and density of non-compacted bituminous paving mixtures.

It is used together with a Vibra-Dearator, Vacuum Pump and filter flask or airdrying unit  water trap to complete the test set.

Percent air voids in compacted bituminous mixtures and the amount of bitumen absorbed by the aggregates can also be calculated with the test set.

Vacuum Pyknometer is manufactured from transparent plastic.

Vacuum Pumps are supplied with 3m plastic tube (Ø8mm OD) and 2 pcs. clamps.

Vacuum Gauge, Analog, Scale Range (-100/0 kPa), Accuracy (1.0 % of scale range), 1 kPa graduated,Ø63 mm.

Supplied with a valve, 4-way dispenser and muffler.
